JediCon 2010 took again place in the Maritim Airport Hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany. It was once again a great event at a superb location and some great R2builders that made me proud.

We´ve had lots of kids with us this time.

Testing R2 in the hotel lobby. The glass-smooth floor was perfect for driving, unlike the carpet upstairs which was really battery-draining and motor-overheating.

The hotel lobby was also the background for more sinister representatives of the Starwars universe....

We had some R2 races, after all. Not R2 against R2, hoewever; R2 against the kids. With 24 volts on the scooters, the kids won only due to regular R2 wrangler´s steering errors....

Our member Mike with his finished droid. Not bad after only about 15 months of building.....

A view into the other side of the hotel lobby. The small gathering at the stairs seems to be something Rebel-Legion-wise.

And then, two Jawas found our room, at once laying their greedy hands on our R2s.

They also hijacked Amedeo´s C-3PO, and scared us by waving their blasters

Amedeo´s C-3PO suit was pretty well done. I forgot to ask, where it was from,or if it was made on his own.

A single picture from the costume contest, which was hosted by Nicole. The Grievious in the center won the "Solo performance" category, as far as I heard.

Finally, in one of the rare moments when there were more "ligth side" costumes than darkside ones, these troopers could be cornered.

A vintage Starwars flipper could be used by the visitors, and was beleaguered every day.

A picture from the evening show. Noelia from Switzerland and four friends who were obviously martial arts pros showed a superb dance and fight show. On the left you see parts of "Nomad Soul", the rock band of our R2 builder Daniel.

The four R2s that took part in the evening show lined up at the start of the "after-show party". Check the (intended) differences in the paint schemes.
